Gelato 43 — also called Gello Gelato 43 — is a numbered phenotype of the Gelato line, which came out of a Sunset Sherbet crossed with Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. Most of the Gelato family sits close to the middle and plays both ways. This one does not. Gelato 43 is an indica and it behaves like one in the room, which is part of why it gets asked for by number instead of just by name. Of all the numbered Gelato phenos, 43 also has the reputation for being the most potent and by a distance the hardest to source.

Aroma and Flavor

Gelato 43 is the odd one in the family. Where most Gelato cuts read sweet, creamy, and dessert-like, 43 opens on bubblegum with a gasoline center — candy sweetness on the outside and real fuel underneath it. The Gelato backbone is still there behind that: sweet cream, citrus, a little mint and lavender on the exhale. If you have smoked Gelato 33 or 41 and expected the same thing here, you will notice the gas immediately.

Terpene Profile and Experience

The Gelato line reads caryophyllene-dominant, with limonene, myrcene, humulene, and linalool behind it. Caryophyllene is the peppery, grounded weight; limonene is the citrus lift; myrcene and linalool are what pull the back end down and settle it. On an indica cut like 43, that back half is the part you feel most. This lot was tested for cannabinoids only — no terpene panel — so treat this as the cultivar's known character rather than confirmed percentages for this batch.
